Learning Through Life Partnership is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults and children who may be vulnerable due to disability, age, or additional needs. Safeguarding is a shared responsibility, and the organisation recognises its duty to act promptly, proportionately, and appropriately if concerns arise.

The organisation provides training and coaching services to support staff and does not deliver regulated personal care. Safeguarding responsibilities are undertaken in partnership with commissioning bodies and care providers.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all consultancy, training, and coaching activities delivered in community or provider settings. Learning Through Life Partnership does not assume statutory safeguarding responsibility.

3. Legal Framework

This policy is informed by the Care Act 2014, Children Acts 1989 and 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, Equality Act 2010, Prevent Duty Guidance, and local authority safeguarding procedures.

4. Roles and Responsibilities

Primary safeguarding responsibility remains with the care provider and/or commissioning authority. Learning Through Life Partnership will escalate concerns promptly.

5. Training and Vetting

The director holds an Enhanced DBS and is registered with the DBS Update Service. Safeguarding CPD includes safeguarding children, child protection, CSE, FGM, Prevent Duty, online safety, and GDPR.

6. Recognising and Responding to Concerns

Concerns will be reported immediately to the provider's safeguarding lead and escalated to the local authority if required. Emergency services will be contacted if there is immediate risk.

7. Confidentiality

Information will be shared on a need-to-know basis in line with data protection legislation.

8. Safer Working Practices

Services are delivered where staff are present. Learning Through Life Partnership reserves the right to withdraw if risks cannot be adequately managed.

9. Review

This policy is reviewed annually or following significant changes or incidents.
